SAP Finug Hosted by EPI-USE Labs 8.9.2026
8.9.2026
Is your SAP licensing strategy fit for purpose in the S/4HANA era?
As organisations move to SAP S/4HANA, many are facing a fundamental shift in how their SAP licences are calculated.
With SAP’s STAR measurement matrix, Full Use Equivalent (FUE) requirements are determined by the authorisation objects assigned to users, and not simply by the transactions they perform. For organisations with legacy roles that were never designed with these rules in mind, this can result in significantly higher FUE requirements and subscription costs.
But the impact goes beyond licensing. The number of FUEs purchased also influences the infrastructure sizing provided under SAP’s T-shirt sizing methodology. Underestimating FUE requirements could result in insufficient memory or storage, while overestimating them may lead to unnecessary infrastructure costs.
In this session, we’ll show you how to analyse user access and system usage to establish your true FUE position, uncover opportunities to optimise your licensing, and make more informed decisions before entering negotiations.
